Extravirgin Olive Oil Toscano I.G.P.

1500 plants which grow at an average height of 450 s.l.m are organically cultivated.the main cultivar is olivastro seggianese but there is also a considerable amount of Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo.
The hand-picked olives are crushed by rotating hammers at “Frantoio Franci”, Montenero d’Orcia .”La Banditaccia” I.G.P Toscana Extra Virgin Olive Oil is limpid, golden yellow with green reflections. Delicate bouquet with herbaceous notes, balanced between fresh and slightly bitter scents of cooked vegetables (cardoon,swiss chard) these notes are detected also on the palate, together with a good structure low acidity and peroxides, high concentration of polyphenols and tocophenols, predominance of oleic acid(monounsaturates), fatty acids (polyunsaturates) and chlorphyllose compounds, underlining a high quality organic product rich in precious nutrients for our well-being.
During the VII edition of the “Premio Olivo d’Oro “ competiton.this Extra Virgin Olive Oil was awarded second place in the category “fruity & intense”. This prestigious recognition was obtained with success for the excellence and the organoleptic characteristics.
